Student scholarship announced

One of the goals of the AIED conferences is to foster a vibrant community of young researchers. For that reason, the AIED society has set up a scholarship programme for 2011, with help from APSCE (Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education). The maximum scholarship amount will be US$1,500, but the actual amount awarded to the selected graduate students will depend on the cost of travel and the level of funding applied for.

The student applicant should be the first author or a presenter of a paper accepted for the AIED 2011 main conference or the Young Researcher Track.

Please apply by emailing your application to Tanja Mitrovic (tanja.mitrovic@canterbury.ac.nz) by May 2nd, 2011. Please provide your full name, contact information, affiliation, the number and title of your paper(s) accepted for AIED 2011, and the name of your supervisor. Please also ask your supervisor to email Tanja a letter of recommendation, substantiating your academic status and progress toward the PhD degree and the need for the scholarship. If you are not the first-author of the accepted paper, but will be the presenter of the paper, your supervisor/advisor must clearly state this.
