Workshop: Learning by Modelling in Science Education

The workshop chairs have released the Call for Papers for the workshop on Learning by Modelling
in Science Education
. They invite submissions of short papers (4 pages including references) and long papers (up to 8 pages including references) that address topics relevant to Question Generation in general and to Question Generation shared tasks in particular.

Learning by Modelling (LbM) may contribute to students' learning of scientific concepts and skills. LbM tools implemented as constructivist environments have the potential to support the learners' gradual construction of knowledge and mastery of skills, and to increase their motivation to explore scientific phenomena. Moreover, LbM implies the acquisition of skills and perspectives that may become in the long-term powerful intellectual tools for addressing systemic phenomena in new situations and contexts. Hence its status as promising approach for science education. Read more of the CFP ...
